LAKE CHARLES, LA -- The Southern delivered one of their most complete performances of the season Tuesday night, powering past the McNeese State Cowboys baseball 6–2 at Joe Miller Ballpark.

Southern wasted no time setting the tone, plating two runs in the first inning and never surrendering the lead. The Jaguars added insurance in the third, fifth, and eighth innings, combining timely hitting with disciplined execution to control the game from start to finish.

Southern's offense stayed consistent throughout, finishing with 13 hits while capitalizing on key moments. A two-run first inning gave the Jaguars early momentum, and they extended the lead to 4–1 by the third thanks to RBI contributions across the lineup.

McNeese briefly cut into the deficit, but Southern responded with another run in the fifth and a late insurance run in the eighth to seal it.

On the mound, Southern's pitching staff was dominant. Starter Myles Dismute (W, 2-0) set the tone, and the bullpen combined to shut down any comeback hopes—holding McNeese to just 5 hits and 2 runs while striking out 11 batters.
