In his first season on the Bluff, Amel was a pivotal contributor, providing big post presence, rebounding and the ability to stretch the defense. Helped guide the Jaguars to a second place regular season finish and winning the last 14-out-16 games on the season. He averaged 8.0 points per game in 32 games and 4.3 rebounds per game. Started 19 games, averaging 20.1 minutes per game. Made 100 field goals shooting 49.3 percent, 12 three point field goals and shot 74.1 percent from the free throw line (43-58). Had 12 games in double figure scoring. Season-high 19 points in a overtime win at home versus Prairie View (3/7). Had season-high 13 rebounds at UAPB (1/18). Scored 255 points on the season, along with 139 rebounds, 19 blocks and 18 assist.
