Game#2 NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Tadre Sheppard scored 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds to help Central Arkansas blow past Southern University 79-63 on Saturday night.

The Bears (3-5) went into halftime ahead by just five points but outscored the Jaguars (0-8) in the second half 49-38 thanks to 14 points by Sheppard.

Chris Poellnitz led the Bears with 21 points, while Mitch Rueter had 12 and Jared Rehmel added 11.

Central Arkansas shot 55 percent from the floor, while Southern hit just 40 percent.

Tony McGilveary led the Jaguars in scoring 17 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Earnest Jones added 15 points, and Jazz Williams came off the bench to score 12.

Jones also earned All-Tournament honors for his play in the two day tournament.

Game#1 NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Denzel Barnes scored 14 points on 6-of-6 shooting, leading five players in double figures, as Stephen F. Austin defeated Southern University 79-52 Friday night to move into the championship game of the Etech Lumberjack Classic.

The host school will face Central Arkansas, which earlier defeated Cal State-Fullerton 69-49, in Saturday night's final.

Walt Harris scored 13 points, Eddie Williams had 12 points and five assists, Jordan Glynn had 11 points and 10 rebounds and Jereal Scott 10 points for the Lumberjacks (4-2). Stephen F. Austin led 44-28 at halftime and by more than 20 points for most of the second half.

Southern (0-7), who will play Cal State Fullerton in the consolation game, was led by Norm Nixon Jr. with 10 points.
