Southern enters the tournament riding momentum after a third-place finish at the Southern Queens. The Lady Jaguars secured opening-day victories over Florida A&M, Texas Southern and Grambling before advancing to bracket play. Southern opened the championship round with a win over Jackson State, fell to No. 21 UAB, and rebounded with another victory over Jackson State to cap the event.

Freshman Maria Molina Diaz continued her standout season, earning Southwestern Athletic Conference Bowler and Newcomer of the Week honors after claiming Tournament MVP at the Southern Queens. She led the 55-bowler field with a 1,051 five-game total, averaging 210.20. The Colombia native has now earned Bowler of the Week recognition twice this season.

Fellow freshman
Alanna Jones placed 13th overall with a 960 total pinfall and a 192 average. Senior
Darian Mobley was the only other Lady Jaguar to average above 170, finishing with a 172.80 average and 864 total pins.
