Women's Tennis Set To Face Florida A&M in 2025 SWAC Tennis Tournament

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced its 2025 SWAC Women's Tennis Tournament seedings featuring the league's top eight teams at the conclusion of regular season play. Alabama State and Jackson State finished regular season competition in a tie for the regular season championship title. 

Jackson State enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed (8-1, SWAC) while Alabama State claimed the No. 2 seed (8-1, SWAC).

Florida A&M claimed the No. 3 seed (7-2, SWAC) in the tournament followed by No. 4 seed Alabama A&M (7-2, SWAC). Prairie View A&M (5-4, SWAC) and Southern (4-5, SWAC) will enter the tournament as the No. 5 and No. 6 seeds respectively.

Alcorn State (3-6, SWAC) and Grambling State (2-7, SWAC) claimed the final two tournament seeds and will enter the tournament as the No. 7 and No.8 seeds respectively.

In the event of a tie in conference records the league's tiebreaker policy was used to determine final seedings.
 
The 2025 SWAC Women's Tennis Tournament is scheduled to be played on April 18-20 at City Park Tennis Center located in New Orleans, La. The quarterfinals round will begin on Friday, April 18 at 9:00 am CST.
