HOW IT HAPPENED
- Southern and Alabama State battled it out the first two innings until Jaylen Armstrong hits a line drive down the right field line to send Jah'li Hendricks across home plate to pull the Jags within two runs, 3-1.
- ASU scored 7 runs in the first five innings.
- Wilson pitched four innings seeing 19 batters giving up five runs off eight hits.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Southern finished the night with eleven hits and ASU finished the night with ten hits.
- Southern finished the game with three errors, while Alabama State finished the game with zero errors.
- Southern left seventeen runners on base, while ASU left nine.
- Southern struck out twelve times, while Alabama State struck out five times.
- Hendricks picked up the Jags first run of the day off a double down the right field line. Quincy Smith II scored two runs for the Jaguars on the day, while Nathaniel Lai, Gustavo Nava Sanchez and Hendricks scored one run each.
