BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Alcorn State's Samara Nunn and Paula Argelaguet along with Southern's Sheryah Gavel for SWAC Soccer Weekly Honors for their outstanding performances during this past week of regular season competition.

Gavel set the tone of the game this Friday scoring her first header goal of the season. The hardworking  Junior defender played a total of 142 minutes this weekend making her 11th start of the season and helping the jaguars jump to second place in conference standings.

Women's competition is offered in the sports of Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, and Volleyball.
