BATON ROUGE, LA – The defending SWAC Champions get their first victory of the 2025 season after knocking off Southern Miss on Sunday evening inside A.W. Mumford Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jags jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after finding the back of the net at the 13-minute mark of the first half.
- SU picked up its defensive intensity to hold the Eagles scoreless for ninety minutes.
- Junior J'Lea Berry scored the Jags' winning goal with an assist from senior Gia Johnson

- The University of Southern Miss would have a 16-3 advantage in shots over the Jaguars.
- The Eagles finished with the advantage in shots on goal at 5-2
