BATON ROUGE, LA—Southern University Head Soccer Coach Jeremy Fontenot announced the 20-game schedule for the 2022 season which is highlighted by nine home games that will be played inside A.W. Mumford Stadium.

The Lady Jaguar's open the season on August 13^th in Lafayette, Louisiana for a match against the University of Louisiana. They then travel to Thibodaux, Louisiana for tilts against Nicholls (Aug. 19) and North Dakota (Aug. 21). SU continues their road trip as they travel to Florida for matches against Florida Gulf Coast (Aug. 26) and Florida International (Aug. 28). 
 
Trips to Lake Charles and Hammond, Louisiana round out the seven-game road trip to begin the season before returning to A.W. Mumford Stadium for a six-game home stand, including opening conference play with matches against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Sept. 23) and Grambling State (Sept. 25). 
 
The Lady Jaguar's make the Mississippi swing with games against Mississippi Valley State (Sept. 30) and Alcorn State (Oct. 2) before returning home to play host to Alabama A&M (Oct. 14) and Alabama State (Oct. 16). Games 18 & 19 will be played in Texas against Texas Southern (Oct. 21) and Prairie View A&M (Oct. 23). The Jag's final tune up for the conference tournament will be played at home against Jackson State (Oct. 28).
 
The conference tournament is scheduled for November 3-7^th to be hosted by Prairie View A&M in Prairie View, Texas. The winner of the SWAC's regular season title will receive the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
