BATON ROUGE, LA -- Southern jumped out on Wiley College early in the first quarter and never looked back as they cruised to a 20-point victory in front of 872 fans inside F. G. Clark Activity Center on the campus of Southern University. Final score was 76-56.
The Lady Jaguars defensive intensity today was on another level forcing turnover after turnover throughout the entire first half.
Raven White finished the day with a season-high 17 points, nine rebounds and one block. Nakia Kincey added 12 points, six rebounds and six steals. Aleighyah Fontenot and Diamond Hunter chipped in 10 points each. Hunter added five rebounds and two steals in twenty-two minutes of play.
The Lady Jaguars defense forced the Lady Wildcats to 35 turnovers, picking up 37 points off turnovers. SU played all fifteen players with ten landing in the scoring column. Southern shot 38 percent for the game (31-80) and 17 percent from behind the arc (3-18). SU shot 65 percent from the charity stripe finishing (11-17)
Aleah Pressley led the Lady Wildcats with 17 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and 1 steal. Kayja Jackson chopped in 16 points along with two rebounds.

Southern will be back in action on December 13th as they travel to North Texas as they take on University of North Texas. Tip-off is slated for 11:30 AM inside The Super Pit on the campus of University of North Texas.
