BATON ROUGE, LA — Southern University senior infielder KJ White was named to the 2026 Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-Louisiana Baseball Second Team after one of the most productive seasons in the state.

White, a native of Ellenwood, Georgia, batted .421 and collected 81 hits, 8 doubles, 1 home run, 32 stolen bases, and 33 RBI's while scoring 46 runs. He also posted a .482 on-base percentage and a .682 slugging percentage.

The senior was named the 2026 Southwestern Athletic Conference Hitter of the Year, earned first-team All-SWAC honors and was selected as a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Award, presented annually to the nation's top collegiate baseball player.

White was a key contributor for a Southern team that finished 29-23 overall and 20-7 in SWAC play. The Jaguars' 29 victories marked the highest win total under coach Chris Crenshaw and the program's most wins since the 2019 season.

One of the SWAC's most consistent offensive performers, White ranked among the conference leaders in several categories while helping Southern contend for a conference championship. His combination of power, run production, and leadership made him one of the league's top players throughout the season.

The LSWA All-Louisiana honor adds to an already impressive list of accolades for White, whose performance helped elevate Southern to one of its most successful seasons in recent years.
