Baseball Begins First Full Week of Fall Practice

BATON ROUGE, LA – Southern University baseball will begin the first full week of its fall schedule Tuesday afternoon at Lee-Hines Stadium.

The Jaguars will open the week with an off day Monday before returning to the practice field Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. CT. Southern will hold training sessions throughout the week, along with scrimmages Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.

The Jaguars will close the weekend with two opportunities for fans to see the team in action. Southern will host Loyola on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lee-Hines Stadium before wrapping up the week with an intra-squad scrimmage Sunday at 2 p.m.

Dates and times for all practices and scrimmages will be posted each Monday on gojagsports.com. All future scrimmages are subject to change, and the length of each scrimmage will be determined game by game. The team's regularly scheduled training sessions will take place throughout the fall between scrimmages.

Admission to Southern baseball's on-field activities is free and open to the public. Fans should enter Lee-Hines Stadium through the main gate located directly behind home plate. Once inside the stadium, spectators are asked to remain in the designated seating areas.
