BATON ROUGE, La. – The Southern University bowling team will begin their quest for a fourth consecutive Southwestern Athletic Conference regular season title with the first of two Round-Ups at AMF Diamond Lanes in Houston starting on January 16.

Southern returns to the lanes for the first time since November where the Lady Jaguars finished 14^th at the Colonial Lanes Classic with a total pinfall of 12,240 and a 172.4 team average. Southern recorded 4,329 pins in Friday's Baker sets, 4,221 pins in traditional team play, and 3,690 pins during bracket action.
 
Alanna Jones led Southern's overall performance with a 900 series, averaging 180. Angel Stein followed as the only other Lady Jaguar to eclipse a 170 average, posting an 850 series to finish at exactly 170.
 
The Lady Jaguars finished the weekend with three thrilling Baker matches. Southern would take down Texas Southern, coming back from a 3-0 hole to win it in seven. They would drop a back-and-forth match against then No. 18 UAB before falling to TSU in the final match of the tournament in seven games.
