Southern Women Third, Men Ninth at the 2025 SWAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship

BATON ROUGE, La. | The Southern University men's and women's track and field teams set some more personal records on the final day of the 2025 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Outdoor Championships as the women finished third and the men placed ninth at A.W. Mumford Stadium.

WOMEN'S TRACK

Jada Chevalier finished second in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 13.61
Rondisia Williams finished third in the 100m, logging a time of 11:58
In the Women's 200m finals, Rondisia Williams set a personal record finishing with a time of 23.72
Doreen Onchangu set a personal record in the Women's 5000m, finishing in fifth place with a time of 19:07.82
The Women's 4x100m Relay team finished fifth, with a time of 46.53 (Jada Chevalier, Rondisia Williams, Sincere Wilson, Jayla Franklin)
The Women's 4x400m Relay team finished sixth, with a time of 3:51.00 (Rondisia Williams, Shani Simon, Jada Chevalier, Jayla Franklin)

WOMEN'S FIELD

Azariah Foster finished third in triple jump, with a jump of 12.34m and setting a personal record
Peyton Funderburk finished in sixth place, with a. jump of 12.10m and setting a personal record

MEN'S TRACK

The Men's 4x100m Relay finished in fourth place, setting a season best time of 40.36 (Derick Washington, Herman Batiste, Darryl Washington, Kaden Lewis)

MEN'S FIELD

Roman Smith finished second in the high jump, posting a jump of 2.07m
Herman Batiste finished in fifth place in the high jump, with a jump of 2.07m
