BATON ROUGE, La. – The Southern University bowling team is back in action this weekend, competing in its second event of the season at the Bulldog Classic, hosted by Louisiana Tech at City View Lanes in Fort Worth, Texas, from November 7–9.

The Lady Jaguars enter the weekend looking to build on their performance at the Track Kat Klash, where they finished 12th overall with a total pinfall of 10,892 in their season debut. Southern closed out the event with its first win of the season, edging Jackson State 760–748 to finish strong on Saturday.
The Lady Jaguars posted 6,361 pins in eight Baker matches, 3,915 pins in five traditional games, and 616 pins in one bracket play match.
Freshman Maria Molina Diaz led Southern individually with an 18th-place finish, rolling a 939 total pinfall over five games for a 187.8 average. Senior
Darian Mobley followed with the team's second-highest traditional set, totaling 775 pins across five games.
With a mix of young talent and veteran leadership, Southern will look to continue improving and gain valuable experience against one of the toughest fields in the country this weekend in Fort Worth.
