BATON ROUGE, La. – Southern University junior outside hitter Arianna Brown has been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after turning in two dominant performances that highlighted her as one of the nation's top offensive threats.

Brown led the conference last week in kills per set (5.57) and points per set (6.57) while also ranking fourth in aces per set (0.86). Her 5.57 kills per set ranked eighth nationally for the week, underscoring her efficiency and consistency on the attack.

She opened the week with a nearly flawless outing against Jackson State, posting 20 kills on a .455 hitting percentage and adding five service aces. Brown followed that performance with her fifth double-double of the season at Prairie View A&M, finishing with 19 kills and 11 digs.

The Houston native continued her strong play into Monday's match at Texas Southern, collecting her second consecutive double-double with 21 kills and 12 digs.

On the season, Brown has reached double figures in kills in 20 matches, including three with 20 or more, cementing her place as one of the SWAC's most dynamic and reliable offensive players.
