BATON ROUGE, La. – The Southern University bowling team will travel to Fairview Heights, Illinois, for the Bearcat Invitational, hosted by McKendree University, from November 14–16. The event marks the third of four consecutive tournaments for the Lady Jaguars during the fall portion of their schedule.

Southern enters the weekend coming off a strong showing at the Bulldog Classic, where the Lady Jaguars finished 11th overall with a total pinfall of 12,211 and a 182.25 team average — a 15-pin improvement from their season opener. The Jaguars closed the event with impressive bracket play victories over Southwestern Athletic Conference foes Prairie View A&M (4–1), Jackson State (4–2), and Alabama State (4–2) to climb from 13th to 11th place.
 
Southern totaled 4,441 pins in five Baker matches, 4,489 pins in traditional team play, and 3,281 pins during bracket competition.
 
Freshman Maria Molina Diaz continued her standout start to the season, leading the Jaguars with a 19th-place finish after posting a 1,037 total pinfall across five games for a 207.4 average — her second straight top-20 performance. Fellow freshman Za'Viara Williams followed with an 800 pinfall for a 179.8 average, while senior Darian Mobley added an 867 total for a 173.4 average, both finishing inside the top 50.
