Men’s Basketball Cruises Past Florida A&M 91-57

BATON ROUGE | Southern University men's basketball team (8-8, 3-0 SWAC) had four players in double figure scoring as they cruised past Florida A&M (3-10, 0-2 SWAC) 91-57 Saturday afternoon at the F.G. Clark Activity Center.

Forward DaMariee Jones led the Jaguars with a season and game-high 15 points. Puoch "PJ" Dobuol contributed 11 points, Derrick Tezeno added 10 points. Brentay Noel added 11 rebounds and 10 points for his first double-double of the season.
 
Sterling Young game-high 19 points to pace Florida A&M.
 
GAME NOTES
  • Southern shot 53.2 percent (33-of-62) from the floor, 45.5 percent (10-of-22) from behind the arc and 65.2 percent (15-of-23) from the charity stripe
  • The Jaguars grabbed 33 rebounds, with 22 coming off the defensive glass
