SMITHFIELD, RI – The Lady Jaguars had three members announced as All-Academic for the 2022-23 season by the National Tenpin Coaches Association on Tuesday. Senior Lindsey Ugas and Sophomores Kelsey Quinney and Jailyn Rogers were among the 285 honorees announced.
 
The National Tenpin Coaches Association recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in the classroom throughout the academic year. This year there are 285 honorees, representing NCAA bowling programs at 57 schools. A student athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher for the academic school year to qualify for this award. The National Tenpin Coaches Association is privileged to recognize outstanding academic achievement by our student-athletes.
 
Ugas, a Houma, Louisiana native, is a four-year member of the Lady Jaguar team. She will graduate with a degree in Psychology in the fall. During her time on the bluff, Ugas has knocked down 10,550 pins in 63 games. She has been a pivotal part in bringing back the Lady Jaguar bowling team to their dominant form of the early 2000s.
 
Quinney is a sophomore from Dallas majoring in Marketing. In her two seasons, she has knocked down 15,850 pins in 90 games and has seen her average increase by nine pins since her freshman season. Quinney earned All-Tournament team honors at the SWAC tournament and was named to the 2022-23 SWAC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
 
Rogers is a sophomore from Jackson, Mississippi who has made herself known on the lanes around the conference and country in her two seasons on the Bluff. She is majoring in Therapeutic Recreation and Leisure Studies. In her two seasons, Rogers has knocked down 21,410 pins in 113 games and averaged 194 for the 2022-23 season. Rogers is the 2021-22 SWAC Freshman of the Year and two-time First-Team All-SWAC performer. She was also named to the 2022-23 SWAC Commissioner's Honer Roll.
