BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Florida A&M's Sebastian Greico and Southern's Nicholas Wilson for SWAC Baseball Weekly Honors for their outstanding performances during this past week of conference play.
 
Hitter of the Week
Greico totaled a double, two home runs while contributing a league leading 12 RBI during Florida A&M's series against Mississippi Valley State this past week of competition.
 
Pitcher of the Week
Wilson tallied the most strike outs (13) for a Southern pitcher during a single game in the past decade in a thrilling Jaguars 6-5 eleven inning win over the Grambling State Tigers. He pitched a total of seven innings while allowing only one earned run.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) is considered one of the premier HBCU conferences in the country and currently ranks among the elite in the nation in terms of HBCU alumni playing with professional sports teams.
 
Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, and Tennis.
