BATON ROUGE, LA – The Southern University track & field teams are looking to improve marks and prepare for the postseason when they travel across town for the LSU Alumni Gold at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium on April 22.
 
Field events are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. with the women's hammer throw. Running events begin with the women's 4x100 at 2:30 p.m.
 
Last time out, Southern participated in the Strawberry Relays in Hammond, Louisiana before the weather caused them to cut their trip short. The Jaguars and Lady Jaguars were able to put up marks to improve their SWAC standings.
 
Clydeterrious Thompson currently ranks 80th in the 100m with a time of 10.46 from the Pelican Relays.
 
DeAnthony Nervis finds himself at 45th in the 200m with a time of 20.93 from the Battle on the Bayou at LSU.
 
Nicholas Scott sits 35th in the 800m with a time of 1:48.89 and Rushane Miller is in 69th with a time of 1:49.99 at the Pelican Relays.
 
Jordan Thompson currently finds himself 48th in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.07 from the Battle on the Bayou. Jordan Thompson also is ranked 57th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 52.89 at the Texas Relays.
 
Camille Lewis sits 65th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.41 at the Texas Relays.
 
The men's 4x100 team of Derick Washington, Clydeterrious Thompson, Jordan Thompson and Nervis are sitting at 73rd with a time of 40.69 ran at the Battle on the Bayou. Washington, Nervis, Clydeterrious Thompson and Austin Willis ran a 40.73 at the Pelican Relays to sit at 78th. The team of Nervis, Jerun Wagner, Washington and Clydeterrious have a time of 40.99 to rank 79th.
 
In the 4x400, the team of Clydeterrious Thompson, Scott, Ta'Cardrick Alexander and Jordan Thompson sit 70th with a time of 3:12.83 from the Battle on the Bayou.
 
Kevon Hamilton sits 47th in the triple jump with a distance of 48 feet 9 inches from the Battle on the Bayou. Azariah Foster had a distance of 39 feet 10.75 inches at the Pelican Relays to put her at 81st.
