HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Southern gave up four runs in the first and fifth inning and another seven runs in the seventh inning to be run ruled by GSU.
  • GSU is tied 2-2 against the Jaguars this season.
  • Davis pitched two innings seeing 10 batters and only giving up five runs off six hits.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Southern finished the night with six hits and GSU finished the night with seventeen hits.
  • Southern finished the game with no errors, while Grambling finished the game with one error.
  • Southern left eleven runners on base, while GSU left six.
  • Southern struck out four times and Grambling struck five times.
  • Jaylen Armstrong picked up the Jags first run of the day off O'Neill Burgos being grounded out by the third baseman. Justin Wiley and Armstrong scored two runs for the Jaguars on the day, while Khyle Radcliffe and  Burgos scored one run each.
  • Five different Jaguars batters recorded a hit. Armstrong led SU with two hits, while Nathaniel Lai, Radcliffe, Burgos and Ryan Ollison finished the day with one run each.
