- Southern and Florida A&M battled it out the first two innings until Jaylen Armstrong hits a single home run over the left field wall to pull the Jags within one run, 2-1.
- FAMU scored 10 runs in the final three innings.
- Lasseigne faced seven batters giving up five runs off five hits in the eighth inning.

- Southern finished the game with only one error, while Florida A&M finished the game with two errors.
