AUSTIN, TX -- Southern University women's basketball drops their second game of the season on the road to Texas 80-35 inside Moody Center on the campus of University of Texas.
HOW IT HAPPENED
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Jaguars went 14-of-48 shooting from the field (29.2 percent) and 2-of-12 from 3PT (16.7 percent).
- SU was led by Aleighyah Fontenot (3-12 FG, 1-6 3PT) and Sirviva Legions (3-4 FG, 1-5 FT) finished the day with 7 points.
- Taylor Williams (2-7 FG, 2-2 FT) chipped in six points on the day for the Jags.
- Nine Jaguars scored in the contest.
- UT shot 32-of-72 from the field (44.4 percent) and 6-of-22 from 3PT (27.3 percent).
- Southern pulled down 30 rebounds, including 25 on the defensive side of the glass.
- The Lady Longhorns registered 54 rebounds, with 32 coming on the defensive end.
- The Jaguars also went 5-for-11 from the free-throw line.
- The Lady Longhorns sank 10-of-23 from the charity stripe.
- Southern University finished the night with six steals and three assists.
- University of Texas came away with twelve steals and twenty-three assists.
