Jags Falls Purdue on Sunday Afternoon

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN --  The Jaguars shot 25 percent from behind the arc on Sunday afternoon as they drop their third game of the season to Purdue 67-50 in front of 5002 fans inside Mackey Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Jaguars went 16-of-57 shooting from the field (28.1 percent) and 4-of-16 from 3PT (25.0 percent).
- SU was led by Aleighyah Fontenot (4-14 FG, 3-9 3PT) finished the day with 14 points.
-  Taylor Williams (3-7 FG, 2-4 FT) and Chloe Fleming (3-11 FT, 2-2 FT) chipped in eight points on the day for the Jags.
- Eight Jaguars scored in the contest.
- PU shot 20-of-51 from the field (39.2 percent) and 6-of-20 from 3PT (30.0 percent). 
- Southern pulled down 28 rebounds, including 23 on the defensive side of the glass.
- The Lady Boilermakers registered 44 rebounds, with 37 coming on the defensive end. 
- The Jaguars also went 14-for-21 from the free-throw line. 
- The Lady Boilermakers sank 21-of-26 from the charity stripe.
- Southern University finished the night with twelve steals and five assists.
- Baylor University came away with six steals and nineteen assists.

Southern will travel to South Beach to face University of Miami Hurricanes on Friday afternoon in Coral Gables, Florida at 4 PM.
