BATON ROUGE, LA -- Despite giving up
eight runs in two innings the Jaguars kept fighting picking up 16 runs in five of the last six innings of the game to defeat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 19-13 to pick up their third sweep of the season in front of 234 fans inside Lee-Hines Stadium.
SU closed the weekend series picking up six home-runs and season-high 32 RBI's in a weekend series.
The Jaguars picked up nineteen runs off eighteen hits on the day. In the first inning
Jovante Dorris took the fifth pitch of the day 275 feet across the left field wall to bring in Jaylen Armstrong to give the Jags a quick 2-0 lead over the Golden Lions. O'Neill Burgos homered to left center off the seventh pitch of the day to give the Jags a 3-0 lead. In the third inning Michael Latulas picked up his second home run of the weekend to send Tremaine Spears to cut into the Golden Lions lead. Justin Wiley doubled down the left field line to send Hunter Tabb home to pull the Jags within 2 runs of UAPB. In the fifth inning Armstrong singled to left center field to send Wiley and Isaiah Adams racing across home plate to tie the ball game up 8 all. Armstrong scored off a single to right field by Burgos to take a one run lead. In the sixth inning Gustavo Nava Sanchez tied the game 10 all off a bunt by Tabb. Latulas gave the jags a one run lead off a sac-fly by Wiley. The Jags took a four run lead over the Golden Lions off three runs by Adams, Armstrong and Tabb. In the seventh inning Nava Sanchez scored off a fielding error by the Golden Lions center fielder. Latulas and Wiley scored off a throwing error by the short stop. In the eighth inning Burgos scored off a sac-fly and Latulas scored the Jaguars final run of the day.

Mykel Page goes 2-2 on the season. The Jaguars scoring came from
Latulas with four runs. Armstrong with three runs and Burgos, Adams, Nava Sanchez and Tabb with two runs each. Spears with one run.
SU is 18-27, 15-9 SWAC on the season.
