Registration is Open for SU Athletics and Hardwood Club Inaugural Golf Tournament on Nov. 21

The Southern University Hardwood Enrichment Club and Southern University Athletics will be hosting their inaugural golf tournament at University Club in Baton Rouge on November 21, 2022.

The tournament will be a three-man scramble beginning at 9am. This signature event will consist of a reception on the night of November 20, 2022, at L'auberge Hotel and Casino Event Center from 6-9pm.

The SU Hardwood Enrichment Club has raised funds to support Southern University for the last 15 years and have provided funds totaling over $150,000 during this time. The funds raised for the tournament will be used to support the following four priority areas for Southern University Athletics:   
  • Scholarships for student athletes who perform at a high standard in the classroom and community
  • Re-establishment of the SU Golf Team
  • Provide financial assistance to SU coaches for recruiting efforts
  • Renovations/Upgrades to athletic facilities
  • Funding for new basketball court and scoreboard in the F.G. Clark Activity Center
