Southern University Athletics’ Taylor De Bourg Selected as Recipient of Women Leaders in Sports Women of Color Scholarship

BATON ROUGE, La. — Southern University Athletics Assistant Director of Marketing & Development Taylor De Bourg has been selected as a recipient of two prestigious leadership recognitions from Women Leaders in Sports, further highlighting her commitment to professional growth, leadership, and advancing opportunities within the sports industry.

De Bourg has been named a recipient of the 2026 Women Leaders in Sports Women of Color Scholarship, presented in partnership with MOAA. The scholarship provides De Bourg to attend the Women Leaders in Sports National Convention, scheduled for October 12–14, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois.

Additionally, De Bourg has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Pioli Family Endowed Scholarship, providing her access to Women Leaders in Sports membership benefits and professional development opportunities designed to support emerging and established leaders in the sports industry.

The Women Leaders in Sports Women of Color Scholarship recognizes women of color who are making meaningful contributions within athletics and provides opportunities for leadership development, networking, and career advancement. The Pioli Family Endowed Scholarship supports professionals through access to resources, programming, and a community dedicated to empowering women leaders across sports.

She has played a key role in developing innovative programs that connect student-athletes, fans, alumni, and supporters while enhancing the overall Southern University experience.
