Pete Richardson Classic
This will be the second annual Pete Richardson classic when the Jaguars take the field against the Golden Bears of Miles College. Coach Richardson was the head coach of the Jaguars program from 1993 to 2009. During his tenure the Jaguar football team won five Southwestern Athletic Conference titles, four Black college football national championships. His teams also made six appearances to the Heritage Bowl, a former post-season HBCU Bowl game. At SU, Richardson had four 11-win seasons -- including a 12-1 run in 2003. His career record, including five seasons at Division II Winston-Salem State, was 176-76-1. Over a 17-year span, Richardson defined Southern football and, with 134 wins, is second all-time in wins behind only A.W. Mumford.
Rolling with Rollins
We invite the fans out for our inaugural Rolling with Rollins "Jaguar Walk" which will begin promptly at 3:30 p.m. Jaguar Nation lets help usher in a new era for the Jaguar football program as we begin a new tradition here on The Bluff. The team will be led by the cheerleaders as they make their way from the Southern Lab campus towards Championship Plaza before entering A.W. Mumford Stadium.
By Land or By Sea
Whether it be on the legs of our tandem of running backs or the sure hands of the Jaguar receiving core, the team looks to get back on track after dropping the season opener. Offensive Coordinator,
Zach Grossi and his staff believe they have made the necessary adjustments to change the narrative from the previous outing by making multiple trips to the end zone.
