Southern Athletics Releases Fall 2021 Volleyball Schedule

BATON ROUGE, LA – Head Coach Venessa Jacobs has released the Fall 2021 Southern Jaguars volleyball schedule and it includes eight matches inside Clifford Seymour Gymnasium.

SU will open the season with three road trips, beginning with a trip to Thibodaux, LA to participate in the Colonel Classic where they will have matches against Niagara University, Texas Southern and Nicholls. The Jaguars then move on to the Southeastern Showdown in Hammond, LA to face-off against Auburn, California State and the host team, Southeastern Louisiana University.

SU will wrap up non-conference play in Ruston, LA where they will compete in the LA Tech Invitational. There they will have matches against Little Rock, Louisiana Tech and The University of New Orleans.

The Jaguars will begin Southwestern Athletic Conference play inside Clifford Seymour Gymnasium as they play host to Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern on September 26-27. They then will go on the road to face both UAPB and Grambling on October 3-4.

On October 10-11, SU travels to Tallahassee, FL for a cluster that includes Alabama State and the two new additions to the conference Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M.

SU will remain on the road for the next three matches with trips to Alcorn State on October 14^th then on to Texas for matches against Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern.

The Jaguars return to The Bluff where they will play host to Alabama A&M, Jackson State & Mississippi Valley for a cluster on October 31^st and November 1^st.

The remaining regular season games will be played here in Baton Rouge against UAPB on November 7^th, Grambling on November 8^th and Alcorn State on November 11^th.
