BATON ROUGE, LA -- The Southern University women's basketball team has released their complete 2021-2022 schedule. This year's schedule includes 11 nonconference games to kick the season off and a conference schedule that includes the addition of two new conference members. 
 
The Jags first game will be just to the left of us as they travel to College Station, Texas to face off against Texas A&M on November 11^th. Following that, SU will begin part of their Midwest travel series as they face several colleges in that area. Starting first in Milwaukee, Wisconsin against Marquette University on November 15^th, then head over to Iowa to face University of Iowa on November 17^th and 4 days later Iowa State University on November 21^st. 
 
After an almost two-week break women's basketball will then travel 5 hours as they go against University of Memphis to kick off the month of December on December 4^th. They will then play the next two games at the F.G. Clark Activity Center facing Louisiana State University-Shreveport December 7^th, followed by Wiley College December 10^th. A contest at the University of North Texas on December 13^th then onto Stillwater, Oklahoma to face the Oklahoma State Lady Cowgirls will conclude the rest of their nonconference schedule until SWAC play begins.
 
The finale of the non-conference games will include a trip to Missouri to face Missouri State University December 18^thand University of Missouri two days later December 20^th.
 
To open the SWAC slate, the Jags will have four games in one week starting with Texas Southern University, January 3^rdand Prairie View A&M January 5^th, both at home in F.G. Clark Activity Center. They will then travel to face off against the SWAC's two newest members, Florida A&M in Tallahassee on January 8^th followed by Bethune Cookman in Daytona Beach on January 10^th.
 
SU will stay close to home as they only travel between Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi for the next five contest. The Jags travel to Grambling State on January 15^th then play host to UAPB followed by Mississippi Valley making an appearance January 22^nd and 24^th, respectively. Southern will make its Mississippi swing against Alcorn on January 29^th and then Jackson State in Jackson on January 31^st. To close out the first half of the SWAC series, Alabama A&M and Alabama State will make their way to Baton Rouge on February 5^th and 7^th.
 
Southern heads to Houston for contests against Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern on February 12^th and 14^th before heading back to Baton Rouge for a 5-day break and then face Grambling State again on the 19^th. Two more home games will take place before the season ends against Bethune-Cookman on February 26^th and Florida A&M on February 28^th. The Jags will closeout the 2021 regular season on the road in Alabama to play against Alabama State and Alabama A&M on March 3^rd and 5^th before heading to the SWAC Basketball Tournament.
 
SWAC Athletic Conference Basketball Tournament will be hosted in Birmingham, Alabama at Bartow Arena on the campus UAB from March 8^th- March 12^th.
