Senior guard Brittany Rose led the Jaguars with 10 points. Kayla Watson, Amani Mcwain and Alyric Scott all finished the night with nine points each. Genovea Johnson added eight points and three rebounds along with Caitlin Davis chipping in seven points, two assists and two rebounds. Scott led the Lady Jaguars in rebounds with seven.

The Jaguars defense forced the Lady Panthers to 25 turnovers picking up 23 points off the turnovers. SU played all eleven players that dressed with ten landing in the scoring column. Southern shot 50 percent for the game (25-50) and 55 percent from behind the arc (6-11). SU shot 58 percent from the charity stripe finishing (7-12).

The defending SWAC Champions will host the Quarterfinals of the Cricket Wireless SWAC Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, March 10 facing off with The Lady Panthers of Prairie View A&M University at 5:30 PM. SU swept the PVAMU during the regular season. The winner of the quarterfinals will head to Birmingham, AL where the will play the winner of the Texas Southern - Arkansas-Pine Bluff game on Friday at 6 PM.
