Southern Rallies Late to Edge Arkansas-Pine Bluff 16-15, Completes Weekend Sweep and Extends Win Streak to 10

BATON ROUGE, LA — Southern University erased a seven-run deficit with a furious late-inning rally, capped by a go-ahead home run in the eighth, to defeat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 16-15 on Sunday afternoon at Lee Hines Stadium and complete a weekend sweep while extending its winning streak to 10 games.

With the sweep, the Jaguars moved into sole possession of fourth place in the SWAC standings.

Trailing 15-8 entering the bottom of the seventh, Southern erupted for six runs in the inning to pull within one before taking the lead for good in the eighth. Jacoby Radcliffe delivered the biggest swing of the comeback with a bases-clearing triple, and Ryan Hunter followed an inning later with a two-run homer to right that put Southern ahead 16-15.
