BATON ROUGE, LA— Catcher Xavier Bradley has been named one of 50 players selected to the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Midseason Watchlist, it was announced Wednesday morning.
The award, presented annually to the top catcher in NCAA Division I baseball, recognizes outstanding athletic and defensive performance behind the plate. This selection places him among the nation's elite at his position midway through the 2026 season.
Bradley has been a key contributor this season, providing leadership both offensively and defensively. Known for his game-calling ability, strong arm, and consistency behind the plate, he has helped anchor the pitching staff while contributing at the plate.
The mid-season watch list includes 50 of the top catchers across the country. Finalists for the award will be announced later this year.
The Buster Posey Award is named after former Florida State catcher and Major League Baseball standout Buster Posey, recognizing excellence at one of baseball's most demanding positions.
