It's Southern University, carrying a legacy of grit, swagger, and championship pride, defending its home turf in Baton Rouge. Across the field, the Hornets of Alabama State University arrive hungry, ready to spoil the party and make a statement early in the season.

This match-up isn't just football—it's tradition, rivalry, and the roar of two fan bases who live for the pageantry of HBCU football. The Human Jukebox will set the tone. The Stingettes and ASU band will try to answer back.
