• Southern swapped places with Grambling on Sunday afternoon by picking up seven runs in the second inning and cruising to a four-point victory to secure the series over Grambling 2-1.

• Southern finished the day with fifteen RBI's led by Taj Bates with five.

• Nick Luckett pitched the seven innings of the game sending eight of the thirty-three batters seen to the dugout by way of strike out.

• Southern and Grambling finished the day with fourteen hits each. 

• Southern committed two errors on the day.

• Southern left eight runners on base, while Grambling left nine.

• Southern struck out nine times, while Grambling struck out eight times.

• Dylan Jones and Donny Sandifer picked up the Jags two runs of the day off a line drive sone the center of the field by Cardell Thibodeaux and Edward Gregory Jr. led the Jags on the day with three runs each. Taj Bates, KJ White, Dylan Jones and Dominic Joseph finished with two runs each, along with Jacoby Radcliffe on the day.

• Eight different Jaguars batters recorded a hit. Cardell Thibodeaux led SU with three hits on the day.

The Jaguars will be back in action for two midweek game on Tueday evening at 6PM against Dillard University and Wednesday evening against University of New Orleans at 6 PM. Both games will be streamed live on Jaguar Sports Network.
