Tashina Alase Wins 60m Hurdles At Vulcan Invite

BIRMINGHAM, AL | The Southern University track & field team wrapped up action Friday at the University of Alabama-Birmingham Vulcan Invite, posting several strong results in the women's and men's 60m hurdles and field events.

Tashina Alase highlighted the day with a win in the women's 60m Hurdlers. She finished with a time of 8.42 securing the top spot on the podium and was
ahead of teammate Jada Chevalier finished in fourth place (8.68).

Azariah Foster came in second place in the women's triple jump with a jump of (38-02.25).

In the women's weight throw Jae'l Dunn finished on the podium with a throw of (57-07.50) to claim third place. A'ja Gore finished sixth place with a throw of (50-03.25) and in fourth place in shot put with a throw of (44-08.25).

Christion Washington took fourth place in the men's 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.14 seconds and Herman Batiste placed in seventh place finishing with a time of 8.42 seconds.
