BATON ROUGE, La. – The Southern University volleyball team delivered one of its most complete performances of the season, sweeping Arkansas–Pine Bluff in straight sets (25–8, 25–16, 25–17) on Sunday afternoon inside Seymour Gymnasium.
The Lady Jaguars controlled the match from start to finish to secure a pivotal late-season Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) victory, improving to 12–15 overall and 7–6 in league play.
Southern set the tone early with a balanced and efficient attack, finishing with a .342 hitting percentage—its second-highest of the season—while limiting UAPB to a mere .021. The Lady Jaguars dominated statistically, leading in kills (42–22), assists (36–20), digs (74–42), and blocks (6–1).
Sophomore Arianna Brown once again paced the offense with a stellar all-around effort, recording 14 kills on a .321 clip to go along with a service ace and strong play in the front row.
Junior
Zaria Nelson provided a spark with seven kills, four digs, two assists, and a service ace, posting a match-high .583 hitting percentage.
Bailee St. Romain continued her steady presence in the middle, adding five kills and a team-leading four blocks.
Setter
Jordan Felix efficiently directed the offense with 18 assists and strong defensive play, while
Sophie Diouf contributed on both sides of the ball with three kills, two blocks, and two service aces.
Najah Harris anchored the back line with a match-high 15 digs, and

The Lady Jaguars set the tone early in the first set with a blistering 12–3 run, forcing two quick UAPB timeouts before closing out a commanding 25–8 win. The second frame was more competitive, but Southern's efficient offense and tough serving helped them pull away for a 25–16 victory.
In the third and final set, Southern continued its rhythm, using a 7–1 surge midway through to seize control. Brown and St. Romain powered the offense down the stretch, and Doomes capped off the afternoon with a service ace to secure the 25–17 sweep.
