Track and Field Set For Season-Opener LSU Purple Tiger Meet

BATON ROUGE | The Southern University men's and women's indoor track and field teams return to action for the first time in 2025 with their first meet on Friday at the LSU Purple Tiger meet hosted indoors at the Carl Maddox Field House.
 
The meet is set to start at 9:00 a.m. CT with the women's weight throw Friday morning. Track events will start later on at 12:00 p.m. CT with the men's 60-meter hurdles. There will be no live streams available, and the meet is free for anyone to attend.
 
Southern has three meets remaining until the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 22-23) and will compete next (Jan. 25) at the University of Houston.
