Ajohnee Rodney Represented SU at Women Leaders In Sports: Leadership Enhancement Institute

Ajohnee Rodney, Chief of Staff and Associate AD of Administration for Southern University Athletics, represented the institution at the Women Leaders in Sports Leadership Enhancement Institute in Kansas City, Missouri, last month. It was held from June 25-27, this biennial event is a prestigious "level two" leadership development program designed for women in sports.

"I'm honored to have attended this year's Leadership Enhancement Institute hosted by Women Leaders in Sports, a premier organization for women in sports," said Rodney.

The Institute, which is open to mid-to-senior-level members of Women Leaders in Sports, offers intensive leadership training, career coaching, and advanced professional development opportunities. Participants benefit from immersive training sessions led by experienced industry professionals. This year's event was supported by the NCAA as the presenting sponsor and Learfield as a supporting sponsor.

Founded in 1979, Women Leaders in Sports is the primary collegiate professional membership organization dedicated to fostering the development, connection, and advancement of women leaders in intercollegiate athletics and related fields. With over 5,000 members, the organization promotes the growth and success of women in roles such as athletics administrators, conference commissioners, professional staff, coaches, and student-athletes.
