• The Jags fell behind early 3-1 before Kameron Byrd ripping off a single through the left side of the field to send Khyle Radcliffe racing around the bases in the seventh inning to tie the ball game up five all.

• FAMU hit a two-run homer in tge eighth inning to take a three-point lead into the ninth inning.

• Davis picked up his fourth loss of the season pitching four innings giving up four runs off five hits and striking out three Rattler batters. 
   

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Southern finished the day with twelve hits, while Florida A&M finished the day thirteen. 

• Both Southern and Florida A&M finished the night with only one error each.

• Southern left ten runners on base, while FAMU left eight.

• Southern finished the night with nine strike outs, while FAMU finished with six.

• Logan Sanders scored the Jaguars first run of the day off off a double play the squeaked right past the Rattlers short-stop by Kameron Byrd.

• Seven different Jaguars batters recorded a hit on the night. Khyle Radcliffe finished the day with three hits each, while Tyeler Hawkins, Logan Sanders and Marcus Sanders finished with two hits each. Byrd, Ryan Ollison and Dominic Joseph finished with one hit each.
