HOW IT HAPPENED

• SU got off to a slow start giving up five runs in the third inning and was never able to recover.
• ASU scored runs in five out of eight innings they batted in on Thursday afternoon. 
• Lasseigne pitched three innings seeing 16 batters giving up six runs off eight hits on the day. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Southern finished the night with sixteen hits and ASU finished the night with fourteen hits.
• Southern finished the game with no errors, while Alabama State finished the game with two error.
• Southern left ten runners on base, while ASU left seven.
• Southern struck out twelve times and Alabama State struck only ten time.
• Kameron Byrd picked up the Jags first run of the day off a single to right field by Khyle Radcliffe. 
• Three different Jaguars batters recorded a hit. Michael Latulas, Byrd and Radcliffe finish the day with one hit each.
