HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Jags and Panthers got off to a good start scoring runs in the second inning. 

  • Southern gets four runs in the seventh inning off two two-run home runs by Kameron Byrd and Jacoby Radcliffe.

  • Grace picked up his third win of the season pitching seven innings giving up five runs off six hits. Burkett II picked up his second save of the season, where he only gave up one hit.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Southern finished the day with nine hits and Prairie View finished with seven hits.

  • Southern finished the night with three errors, while Prairie View finished with four errors on the night.

  • Southern left eight runners on base, while Prairie View left six.

  • Both Southern struck out nine times and Prairie View struck out fifteen times.

  • Dominic Joseph and KJ White picked up the Jags first runs of the day off Tyeler Hawkins hits a triple down the left field line. 

  • Five different Jaguars batters recorded a hit on the night. KJ White finished the day with three off four at bats, while Tyeler Hawkins and Kameron Byrd finished the night with two hits each. Khyle Radcliffe and Jacoby Radcliffe finished with one hit each.
