HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Jags and Braves battled back-and-forth for the first three innings before the Jags bust the game wide open in the fourth and fifth inning. 

• Southern scored in six of the nine innings on Saturday afternoon.

• Prosper picked up his first win of the season seeing 13 batters and only giving up two hits. Burkett II picked up his first save of the season seeing eleven batters only giving up one run off four hits.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Southern finished the day with eleven hits and Alcorn State finished with eleven hits.

• Both Southern and Alcorn only had one error on the night.

• Southern left ten runners on base, while Alcorn State left eleven.

• Both Southern and Alcorn State struck out only four times.

• Tyeler Hawkins picked up the Jags first run of the day off Khyle Radcliffe double down the right field line. 

• Six different Jaguars batters recorded a Radcliffe finished the day with five and six RBI's, while Jalon Mack finished the night with two hits. KJ White, Kameron Byrd, Dylan Jones and Hawkins finished with one run each.

The Jaguars will be back in action against the Braves on Saturday afternoon for day three of the weekend series at 1 PM.
