HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Jags and Braves battled back-and-forth for the first three innings. 

• Southern scored twelve runs in the eighth inning to run rule the Braves on Sunday afternoon

• Lasseigne picked up his first win of the season seeing 23 batters and only giving up three runs off seven hits. Davis picked up his first save of the season seeing nine batters only giving up one run off three hits.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Southern finished the day with fifteen hits and Alcorn State finished with ten hits.

• Both Southern and Alcorn only had no errors on the night.

• Southern left nine runners on base, while Alcorn State left eleven.

• Both Southern struck out nine times and Alcorn State struck out eight times.

• Kameron Byrd picked up the Jags first run of the day off Jalon Mack foul out to first base. 

• Seven different Jaguars batters recorded a Latulas finished the day with four and two RBI's, while Tyeler Hawkins, Khyle Radcliffe, Ryan Ollison, Dylan Jones and Byrd finished the night with two hits each. Jalon Mack finished with one hit. 

UP NEXT
The Jaguars will be back in action against on Tuesday eveining as they travel to the Crescent City to take on New Orleans Privateers at 6 PM.
