HOW IT HAPPENED

• Southern jumped out to a 4-1 lead over the Braves before the Jags knocked in five runs in the seventh inning to separate themselves from the Braves.

• Southern went scoreless for first two innings, then scored runs in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th and 9th innings to control the game.

• Grace pitched his first complete game of the season, seeing 30 batters and only giving up two runs off three hits.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Southern finished the day with eleven hits and Alcorn State finished with only three hits.

• Alcorn State committed four errors, while the Jags only committed one error on the night.

• Southern left eight runners on base, while Alcorn State left only one.

• Southern struck out six times, while Alcorn State struck out nine times.

• Tyeler Hawkins picked up the Jags first run of the day off Khyle Radcliffe double down the right field line. 

• Five different Jaguars batters recorded a Radcliffe finished the day with four, Jones finished with three hits and Hawkins finished the night with two hits. while Jalon Mack and Ryan Ollison finished with one run each.
