HOW IT HAPPENED
  • SU came out on fire at the plate hitting three home runs to dismantle Prairie View 11-3 in game 2 of the weekend series.
  • PVAMU picked up 12 hits on the day but struggled picking up runs in game 2.
  • Lasseigne pitched four innings seeing 19 batters giving up two runs off seven hits.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • SU picked right back up where they left off in the first game led by O'Neill Burgos with two home runs and four RBI's off three hits to help the Jaguars pick up the "Clean Sweep" over Prairie View. The Jags has won all five game against the Panthers in Baton Rouge this season.
  • PVAMU picked up 9 hits on the day but struggled picking up runs in game 3.
  • Long pitched three innings seeing 10 batters giving up one hit and no runs on the day. 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Southern finished the night with thirteen hits and PVAMU finished the night with nine hits.
  • Southern finished the game with two errors, while Prairie View finished the game with only one error.
  • Southern left eight runners on base, while PVAMU left thirteen.
  • Southern struck out six times and Prairie View struck twelve times.
  • O'Neill Burgos picked up the Jags first runs of the day off his ninth home run of the season. Burgos led the Jaguars with three runs on the day, while JJ Rollon and Hunter Tabb scored two runs each. Jaylen ArmstrongRashard GraceJah'li Hendricks and Jacoby Radcliffe scored one run each. 
  • Seven different Jaguars batters recorded a hit. Burgos and Radcliffe led the Jags with three hits, while Hendricks and Tabb finished with two hits on the day. ArmstrongGrace and Rollon finish the day with one hit each.
