Track and Field Season Ends at NCAA East Regional

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The track and field season came to an end for Southern University at the NCAA East Regional at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida.
 
Jordan Thompson started the event in the 110m hurdles, the first of two events he would participate in over the weekend. Thompson finished with a time of 14.08 for a 38th place finish.
 
The men's 800m would be the next event the Jaguars had a participant. Nicholas Scott would take part in the fifth heat where the top five finishers would have the top qualifying marks in the preliminary round. Scott would finish with a time of 1:52.85 to finish 44th.
 
Thompson would return in the 400m hurdles and looked to build off last season's 44th finish in the regional. He would finish with a time of 53.18 to finish 37th.
 
The women would take the to the track on Thursday and Trinity Bolden would be the first to run. Bolden would finish the 100m with a time of 11.57, just edging out Lynelle Washington from Northwestern State for 41st.
 
The final Lady Jaguar to take the track would be Camille Lewis in the 400m hurdles. Lewis would finish 43rd with a time of 1:01.64.
 
On the final day of competition for the men, Kevon Hamilton would make the most of his three attempts at the triple jump. Hamilton would set a new personal best of 50 feet 3.5 inches to finish 22nd.
