HOW IT HAPPENED
- Southern pick up three runs in the 11th inning to get the go ahead victory to pick up game one.
- Despite picking taking a two-run lead in the tenth inning, Grambling wasn't able to hold on to the lead giving up three runs in the eleventh inning.
- Lasseigne pitched three innings seeing 12 batters and giving up two runs runs and off three hits.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Southern finished the night with ten hits and GSU finished the night with nine hits.
- Southern finished the game with no errors, while Grambling finished the game with only one error.
- Southern left eight runners on base, while GSU left seven.
- Southern struck out ten times and Grambling struck eighteen times.
- Khyle Radcliffe picked up the Jags first run of the day off Jah'li Hendricks sac bunt down the third base line. Khyle Radcliffe, Hunter Tabb, Jah'li Hendricks, Caleb Tart, Jaylen Armstrong and Jonathan Evans scored one run each.
- Nine different Jaguars batters recorded a hit. Hendricks led SU with two hits, while Evans, Tabb, Tart, Burgos, Radcliffe, Quincy Smith II, Gustavo Nava Sanchez and KJ White finished the day with one hit each.
