HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Southern scored four runs in the first four innings to capture the series 2-0 over Prairie View.
  • Despite picking up three runs in the fifth inning PVAMU momentum ran out in the last four innings dropping their second game of the day.
  • Fidanza pitched three innings seeing 11 batters and giving up no runs off three hits.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Southern finished the night with five hits and PVAMU finished the night with eight hits.
  • Southern finished the game with two errors, while Prairie View finished the game with only one error.
  • Southern left seven runners on base, while PVAM|U left five.
  • Southern struck out two times and Prairie View struck nine times.
  • O'Neill Burgos picked up the Jags first run of the day off Gustavo Nava Sanchez double to the right field wall. Burgos led the Jaguars with two runs on the day while, Nava Sanchez and Khyle Radcliffe scored one run each. 
  • Four different Jaguars batters recorded a hit. Nava Sanchez led SU with two hits, while Jah'li Hendricks, Hunter Tabb and Burgos finished the day with one hit each.
UP NEXT
The Jaguars will be back action this weekend for a three game series against Texas Southern inside Lee-Hines Stadium. Friday's game first pitch will be at 6 PM, Saturday's game will be at 3 PM and Sunday's game will be at 1 PM. All three games will be streamed live on Jaguars Sports Network with the voice of Jaguar Athletics "Chris Powers".
